Carlos A. Pittella (he/him) is a Latinx poet & the recipient of a Frontier 2022 Global Poetry Prize. Born on traditional lands of the Tupi, Guarani, & Goitacá (Rio de Janeiro), he lives in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, where he studied creative writing (Concordia’s MA class of 2023). His work is haunted by borders, having recently appeared in Radar, Frontier, Soliloquies, Acentos, & Jacket2. He loves reading anything that surprises &/or implicates the reader. Favourite authors vary widely, including polyglot Helen DeWitt, crime-fiction queen Elizabeth George, & poets Natalie Diaz, Aria Aber, & Solmaz Sharif.
